and the wicked, humans and jinn—even the inhabitants of the Fire.
Al-Hasan and others said: “They have indeed entered the Fire, yet praise of Him remains in their hearts; they have found no grounds for complaint against Him.”
This—and Allah knows best—is the underlying reason why the speaker is left unspecified in His words:
“It will be said, ‘Enter the gates of Hell, to remain there forever.’”
And in His words, 66:12:
“And it will be said, ‘Enter the Fire, both of you, along with those who enter.’”
It is as though the whole universe spoke these words and addressed them to them. Allah knows best what is correct.
والفجار، والإنس والجن، حتى أهل النار.
قال الحسن: وغيره: لقد دخلوا النار، وإن حمده لفي قلوبهم، ما وجدوا لهم عليه سبيلا.
وهذا- والله أعلم- هو السر الذي الذي حذف لأجله الفاعل في قوله:
قِيلَ ادْخُلُوا أَبْوابَ جَهَنَّمَ خالِدِينَ فِيها وفي قوله: ٦٦: ١٢ وَقِيلَ ادْخُلَا النَّارَ مَعَ الدَّاخِلِينَ كأن الكون كله نطق بذلك، وقال لهم ذلك، والله أعلم بالصواب.
