52 “Say, ‘Allah is sufficient as a witness between me and you. He knows whatever is in the heavens and the earth.’”
Since He, glorified be He, knows all things, His testimony is the most truthful and just testimony. It rests upon complete knowledge encompassing everything to which He testifies. Thus, He who bears this testimony is the most just and truthful of witnesses.
He, glorified be He, mentions His knowledge when bearing witness; His power and sovereignty when recompensing; His wisdom when creating and commanding; His mercy when speaking of sending His messengers; His forbearance when mentioning His servants’ sins and acts of disobedience; His hearing when He is invoked and petitioned; and His might and knowledge when He decrees and exercises His power.
Reflect, then, on how His most beautiful names occur in His Book and how they relate to creation, command, reward, and punishment.

He thus invokes Allah’s testimony to him as evidence of his messengership. This testimony must be known and must establish the proof against those who deny him.
Likewise, His saying:
6:19 “Say, ‘What carries the greatest weight as testimony?’ Say, ‘Allah is a witness between me and you.’”
Likewise, His saying:
4:166 “But Allah bears witness to what He has sent down to you: He has sent it down with His knowledge. The angels also bear witness, and Allah is sufficient as a witness.”
Likewise, His saying:
33:1–3 “Yā Sīn. By the wise Quran, you are indeed one of the messengers, upon a straight path.”
And His saying:
2:252 “These are Allah’s verses, which We recite to you in truth. And indeed, you are among
