And regarding Abraham, the Exalted said:
“Who would forsake the religion of Abraham except one who debases himself? We certainly chose him in this world, and in the Hereafter he will be among the righteous. When his Lord said to him, ‘Submit,’ he replied, ‘I have submitted to the Lord of all worlds.’ Abraham enjoined this upon his children—and so did Jacob—saying, ‘My sons, God has chosen the religion for you; so do not die except in a state of submission.’”
(Qur’an 2:130–132)
He also said:
“Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian; rather, he was an upright man, a Muslim, and he was not among those who associate partners with God.”
(Qur’an 3:67)
And He said:
“Indeed, Abraham was a community unto himself—devoutly obedient to God, ever-inclined to truth—and he was not one of the polytheists.”
(Qur’an 16:120)
And He said:
“Say: My Lord has guided me to a straight path—a perfectly upright religion—the way of Abraham, inclining solely to God; and he was never among those who associate partners with Him.”
(Qur’an 6:161)
