Allah, Exalted is He, also says:
“On the Day the disbelievers are presented to the Fire it will be said, ‘Is this not the truth?’ They will reply, ‘Indeed—by our Lord!’ He will say, ‘Then taste the punishment for your disbelief.’”
(al-Ahqāf 46:34)
He, majestic and exalted, says:
“They say, ‘When will this promise be fulfilled, if you are truthful?’ Say: ‘Knowledge of it rests only with Allah, and I am but a clear warner.’ Then, when they see it drawing near, the faces of those who disbelieved will be stricken with gloom, and it will be said, ‘This is what you used to demand.’”
(al-Mulk 67:25-27)
And He, glorified is He, says:
“Those who do not expect to meet Us say, ‘Why were not angels sent down to us, or why do we not see our Lord?’ They have certainly grown arrogant within themselves and behaved with outrageous insolence. On the Day they behold the angels, there will be no good news on that Day for the criminals; they will cry, ‘Keep away—a barrier forbids you!’”
(al-Furqān 25:21-22)
He, exalted, says:
“Indeed, those whom the angels take in death while they were wronging themselves—the angels will ask, ‘In what condition were you?’ They will answer, ‘We were oppressed in the land.’ The angels will say, ‘Was not the earth of Allah spacious enough for you to emigrate in it?’ Such people will have Hell as their refuge—an evil destination indeed—except for the truly helpless men, women, and children who lack the means and cannot find a way. It is they whom Allah may well pardon.”
(al-Nisāʾ 4:97-99)
And He, exalted is He, says:
“If only you could see when the angels take the souls of those who disbelieve, striking their faces and their backs and saying, ‘Taste the punishment of the Burning Fire! That is for what your own hands have sent on ahead, and Allah is never unjust to His servants.’”
(al-Anfāl 8:50-51)
And He, exalted, says:
“Who does greater wrong than one who fabricates a lie against Allah or says—”
