Rather, the Exalted has informed us of His creation of the heavens and the earth—just as He has told us of His creation of humankind, the jinn, and all other creatures—and He has declared that He is the Creator of all things.
Allah, the Most High, says:
“Who perfected everything that He created, and He began the creation of man from clay; then He made his progeny from an extract of a contemptible fluid.”
(Qur’an 32:7–8)
He also says:
“The likeness of Jesus in Allah’s sight is that of Adam: He created him from dust, then said to him, ‘Be,’ and he was.”
(Qur’an 3:59)
And He says:
“He created man from dry clay like earthenware, and He created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire.”
(Qur’an 55:14–15)
And He says:
“When your Lord said to the angels, ‘I am creating a human being from clay. So when I have fashioned him and breathed into him of My spirit, fall down before him in prostration.’”
(Qur’an 38:71–72)
And He says:
“From it We created you, into it We shall return you, and from it We shall bring you forth once again.”
(Qur’an 20:55)
And He says:
“We indeed created man from a quintessence of clay; then We placed him as a drop of fluid in a secure place.”
(Qur’an 23:12–13)
In the authentic collection it is reported from Abu Musa that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“The angels were created from light, the jinn were created from a smokeless flame of fire, and Adam was created from that which has been described to you.”
