Also attributed to him:
56- “A time will come upon my community; whoever holds fast to his religion [then] * will be like someone grasping burning coals.”
[This is reported in the Sunan collections. The Prophet foretold that people would change and that whoever held fast to his religion at that time would be like someone grasping burning coals.] **

ومنها: ٥٦- «يَأْتِي عَلَى أُمَّتِي زَمَانٌ، الْقَابِضُ [فِيهِ] * عَلَى دِينِهِ كَالْقَابِضِ عَلَى الْجَمْرِ» .
[هذا مأثور في السنن أخبر عن تغير الناس وأن القابض على دينه يومئذ كالقابض على الجمر.] **
