51- “If you hear a hadith attributed to me, compare it with the Book and the Sunnah. If it agrees with them, narrate it from me; if it does not, do not narrate it from me.”
⦗82⦘ This is reported, but it is weak. Several leading scholars, including al-Shāfiʿī, have graded it weak.
ومنها: ٥١- «إِذَا سَمِعْتُمْ عَنِّي حَدِيثًا فَاعْرِضُوهُ عَلَى الْكِتَابِ وَالسُّنَّةِ فَإِنْ وَافَقَ فَارْوُوهُ عَنِّي، وَإِنْ لَمْ يُوَافِقْ فَلَا تَرْوُوهُ عَنِّي» .
⦗٨٢⦘ هذا مرويٌّ، لكنه ضعيف، ضعَّفه غيرُ واحد من الأَئمة كالشافعي وغيره.
