48- “A verse of the Quran is better than Muhammad and his family*.”
The entire Quran is the speech of Allah, revealed and uncreated, so it is not to be likened to created beings. The wording quoted above is not attested in transmitted reports.

ومنها: ٤٨- أنَّ «آيَةً مِنْ الْقُرْآنِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ*» .
القرآنُ كله كلام الله منزل غير مخلوق، فلا يشبه بالمخلوقين، واللفظ المذكور غير مأثور.
