Among them:
36- “Whoever eats with someone who has been forgiven will be forgiven.”
This report has no chain of transmission known to the scholars*, nor is it found in any of the Muslims’ books. They merely relate it from Sinān**. Its meaning is not valid without qualification, for disbelievers and hypocrites may eat with Muslims.
[Note by the book’s preparer for al-Shāmila]
* The Dār al-Āthār edition adds: bi-l-hadīth (“of hadith”).
** The Dār al-Āthār edition reads: “Sām.” I say: This may be a corruption of the name “Hishām,” mentioned in some sources documenting the hadith.
