Among them:
9- “Whoever is blessed in something should hold fast to it.”
10- [And] * “Whoever binds himself to something is bound by it.”
The first is reported from some of the early generations.
The second is false: whoever binds himself to something may or may not be bound by it, depending on what Allah and His Messenger have commanded**.

* An addition from the facsimile of the manuscript used for the al-Maktab al-Islāmī edition, and from the al-Dār al-Misriyya al-Lubnāniyya and Dār al-Āthār editions.
** The al-Dār al-Misriyya al-Lubnāniyya and Dār al-Āthār editions read: ya’mur (“commands”).
