Each hadith and its commentary have been placed on a separate page, with page and hadith numbering matching the printed edition. The two other printed editions against which we collated this treatise relied on different manuscript sources from those used for the base edition. They provided important additions and corrections. We have recorded the differences we considered significant in the comments pane. The two editions are: 1- Al-Dār al-Misriyya al-Lubnāniyya (Cairo), first edition, 1413 AH / 1993 CE; study and critical edition by Ahmad ʿAbd Allāh Bājūr. 2- Dār al-Āthār li-l-Nashr wa-l-Tawzīʿ (Cairo), first edition, 1425 AH / 2004 CE; edited, with hadiths traced to their sources, by Muhammad ibn Mustafā Abū al-ʿAlā. - We also consulted the version in Majmūʿ al-Fatāwā (Collected Fatwas), vol. 18, pp. 122–128 and 375–385, for corroboration.
