Teachers
Ibn Taymiyyah, may Allah have mercy on him, acquired knowledge from the leading scholars of his time. His early immersion in learning, together with his deep love for it and his continual eagerness to benefit from others, enabled him to study extensively; it is even said that he heard from more than two hundred teachers. Among them were Ibn ʿAbd al-Dāʾim, Ibn Abī al-Yusr, al-Kamāl Ibn ʿAbd, al-Majd Ibn ʿAsākir, the circle of al-Khushūʿī, Ahmad Ibn Shaybān, al-Qāsim al-Arbili, and many others (24).
