“When the help of Allah comes and the victory, and you see people entering Allah’s religion in crowds, then glorify your Lord with His praise and seek His forgiveness; surely He is ever-Relenting.” (Q 110:1-3)
A sound hadith states that the Prophet ﷺ would frequently say while bowing and prostrating, “Subḥānaka allāhumma rabbana wa bi-ḥamdik, allāhumma ighfir lī—Glory be to You, O Allah, our Lord, and with Your praise; O Allah, forgive me,” thereby enacting what the Qur’an enjoins.
Concerning the divine decree, the servant must seek Allah’s help to do what he has been commanded, place his trust in Him, call upon Him, yearn for Him, and seek refuge in Him, remaining dependent on Him both in seeking good and in shunning evil. He must be patient with whatever has been decreed, knowing that what has reached him could never have missed him and what has missed him could never have reached him. And should people harm him, he recognizes that this too was predestined.
