This religion, therefore, is the religion of Islam—the only faith Allah accepts, whether from those of old or those yet to come. Indeed, every prophet adhered to Islam. Concerning Noah, Allah says: “Recite to them the account of Noah, when he said to his people, ‘My people, if my presence among you and my reminding you of Allah’s signs have become burdensome to you, then I place my trust in Allah. So agree on your course of action, you and your partners, let not your plan be hidden from you, then carry it out against me without delay. If you turn away, I have asked you for no reward; my reward rests with Allah alone, and I have been commanded to be among the Muslims’” (Qur’an 10:71–72).
Regarding Abraham He says: “Who would turn away from the way of Abraham except one who makes a fool of himself? We chose him in this world, and in the Hereafter he will be among the righteous. When his Lord said to him, ‘Submit,’ he replied, ‘I have submitted to the Lord of all worlds.’ Abraham likewise enjoined this upon his children—and so did Jacob—saying, ‘My sons, Allah has chosen the religion for you; do not die except as Muslims’” (Qur’an 2:130–132).
About Moses, Allah says: “Moses said, ‘My people, if you have believed in Allah, then rely upon Him—if you are truly Muslims’” (Qur’an 10:84).
And concerning the Messiah’s disciples He says: “When I inspired the disciples, ‘Believe in Me and in My messenger,’ they said, ‘We believe; so bear witness that we are Muslims’” (Qur’an 5:111).
