- He also said: “Allah chose Ishmael; from the descendants of Ishmael He selected Kinānah; from Kinānah He selected Quraysh; from Quraysh He selected the Banū Hāshim, and from the Banū Hāshim He chose me.”
[The standing of the Prophet’s wives]
269. They show loyalty and affection to the wives of the Messenger of Allah, the Mothers of the Believers.

They affirm that these noble women will remain his wives in the Hereafter.

They single out Khadījah—the mother of most of his children, the first to believe in him, the one who supported him in his mission, and the woman who enjoyed an exalted rank with him.

They likewise honor “the Truthful Lady, daughter of the Truthful Man,” ʿĀʾishah, about whom the Prophet ﷺ said: “The superiority of ʿĀʾishah over (all) women is like the superiority of tharīd (a bread-and-meat stew) over every other dish.”

273. They repudiate:
– the path of the Rāfiḍah, who despise the Companions and revile them; and
– the path of the Nawāṣib, who wrong the Prophet’s family, whether by word or by deed.
