for the Arabic language does not necessitate such an interpretation. It is also contrary to the consensus of the early generations of this Ummah, and it runs against the innate disposition with which Allah has fashioned His creatures.

160 – The moon, for example, is one of Allah’s signs, one of the smallest of His creations: it is fixed in the sky, yet it accompanies the traveller and the one who stays behind, wherever they may be.

161 – As for Allah, glorified be He, He is above the Throne, watching over His creation, sovereign over them, fully aware of them—along with all the other meanings of His Lordship.

162 – All of the statements Allah has mentioned—namely, that He is above the Throne and that He is with us—are true in their real sense; they need no reinterpretation, but they must be protected from false conjectures.
