This copy occupies seven folios of the composite volume, corresponding to folios 182r–187v, each page containing 23 lines. Every line holds roughly 15 words. The text is penned in a clear, elegant, fully-pointed hand and exhibits few scribal errors.
Editorial approach
I adopted this copy as the base text. I vocalised and punctuated all its paragraphs, smoothed the wording, numbered the sections consecutively, and supplied marginal sub-headings. I cited every Qur’anic verse—placing the reference beside the verse—documented the hadiths and other reports, and indicated their degree of authenticity or weakness. I also added several important notes, most of them drawn from Shaykh al-Islām’s other works, along with a few additional sources. Finally, I prepared indices for the verses, hadiths, reports, and subjects.
I ask Allah, exalted be He, to make this work sincerely for His sake and to take care of us in this world and the Hereafter. He is All-Hearing, Responsive. Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best Trustee.
