The book itself is a collection of ḥadith-based critiques of Shaykh al-Albani, supplemented by assessments of individual narrators taken from Shaykh al-Islam ʿAbd al-ʿAziz ibn Baz—may Allah have mercy on them both.
(9) “Informing the Reckless Permissivist that the Qur’an Is Forbidden to Anyone in a State of Janābah or to a Menstruating Woman,” by al-Hasan ibn ʿAli al-Saqqaf.
(10) “Al-Albani: His Deviances and His Errors,” by “Arshad al-Salafi.”
This is how the name appeared on the cover of the first edition, but it is a pseudonym. The real author, as acknowledged in later printings, is Shaykh Ḥabīb al-Raḥmān al-Aʿẓamī. The work was originally issued in four separate parts that were later combined into a single volume.
Shaykh al-Albani answered it with “A Response to the Treatise ‘Arshad al-Salafi’.” He also refuted it in the introduction to The Etiquette of Weddings in the Purified Sunnah (pp. 5–49) while replying there to Shaykh Ismaʿil al-Ansari—may Allah have mercy on him.
Others who replied to the book include Dr. ʿĀṣim al-Qaryūti, in a two-part article entitled “A Look at Shaykh Ḥabīb al-Raḥmān al-Aʿẓamī in His Book ‘Al-Albani: His Deviances and His Errors’,” published in al-Majallah al-Salafiyyah, vol. 16, issue 10 (p. 52) and issue 11 (p. 74). (1)
Salim al-Hilali and a colleague likewise produced a rebuttal called “The Scholarly Response to Ḥabīb al-Raḥmān al-Aʿẓamī, Who Claims to Be ‘Arshad al-Salafi’.” They released only two small installments more than fifteen years ago, and it is still unfinished.
(11) “Establishing the Proof that the ḥadith ‘Seek Help in Fulfilling Needs through Secrecy’ Is Weak, together with a Refutation of the Eminent Shaykh Muhammad Nāṣir al-Dīn al-Albani,” by Khālid ibn Aḥmad al-Mu’adhdhin.
The Shaykh referred to this work in the introduction to volume 2 of Silsilat al-Aḥadīth al-Ṣaḥīḥah (pp. 9–10).
(12) “Championing the People of Tawḥīd and Refuting Those Who Plead on Behalf of the Tāghūts: Notes and Responses to the Cassette ‘Kufr Is of Two Kinds’ by Shaykh Muhammad Nāṣir al-Dīn al-Albani,” by ʿAbd al-Munʿim Muṣṭafā Ḥalīmah (Abū Baṣīr).
