“Kitāb al-Sharī‘ah,” by al-Ājurrī, [an index to its hadith incipits was prepared].
“Kitāb al-ʿIlm,” by Abū Khaythamah Zuhayr b. Ḥarb al-Nasāʾī, critical edition (printed).
… “Kitāb al-Kāmil” = “The Comprehensive Index.”
… “Kashf al-Astār” = “Ṣaḥīḥ: Kashf al-Astār.”
“Unveiling the Veil Concerning the Falsehoods and Fabrications in Abū Ghuddah’s ‘Kalimāt,’” [authored] (printed).
“Al-Kalim al-Ṭayyib,” by Shaykh al-Islām, critical edition (printed).
“Kalimat al-Ikhlāṣ and the Verification of Its Meaning,” by Ibn Rajab, with hadith documentation (printed).
“Kalimatun Sawāʾ,” (by —), [commentary and rebuttal].
To the best of my knowledge this “commentary” has never been printed; hence I do not know the author of the tract entitled “Kalimatun Sawāʾ.” I am inclined to think—indeed, I am almost certain—that the commentary relates to the brochure “Kalimatun Sawāʾ,” published in 1386 AH, whose cover read:
“Kalimatun Sawāʾ
(On the Principles of Cooperation among the Preachers of Islam)
By ‘A Muslim Brother’ — Beirut.”
The booklet comprises 23 small-sized pages and sets out 12 principles.
… “Al-Kawākib al-Darārī” = “Index to the Book Al-Kawākib al-Darārī.”
“How We Must Interpret the Noble Qur’an,” [authored] (printed).
Its origin lies in answers to questions recorded on an audio cassette; the recording was transcribed, shown to the Shaykh, and revised by him. For that reason I have treated it as a book and assigned it a catalogue number.
“The Beard in the View of Religion,” [authored] (printed).
Originally an article that appeared long ago in the journal al-Shihāb, it was later printed separately.
“Lafṭat al-Kabid fī Naṣīḥat al-Walad,” by Ibn al-Jawzī, [introduction and notes in collaboration with Shaykh Maḥmūd Mahdī Istanbūlī, may Allah have mercy on him] (printed).
This work was first published in the journal al-Tamaddun al-Islāmī in three instalments in the year 1374 AH (1).
It was subsequently printed under the title Lafṭat al-Kabid ilā Naṣīḥat al-Walad.
The same wording is found in Ḥayāt al-Albānī (2/780).
In Ḥayāt al-Albānī (2/779), and from it in al-Aṣālah, it appears as: Lafṭat al-Kabid fī Tarbiyat al-Walad.
The correct form is the one I have adopted.
