Finally, everything contained in this Register is what I have been able to locate of Shaykh al-Albānī’s writings (may Allah have mercy on him) after much toil and effort. Something may nevertheless have eluded me, for I was not blessed to accompany the shaykh—indeed, I lived far from him (1)—and I know of his works only what has been printed. I ask Allah, however, that my compilation be close to complete. Whoever finds a correction or comment regarding this Register is kindly requested to send it to me; he will, God willing, be thanked and rewarded.
Praise belongs to Allah, Lord of all worlds, and peace be upon the messengers.

Sources for the Register
I traced the shaykh’s works through the following sources:
(1) My personal library, for—like most students of knowledge—I am keen to acquire the shaykh’s books as soon as they appear.
(2) The introductions to the shaykh’s books. He listed many of them in the introduction to Sahih Sunan Ibn Majah (1/Ṭ–K) and, before that, in the introduction to Sahih al-Jamiʿ (1/58–60). Within the bodies of his works there are further references to many of them.
(3) While browsing a website on the Internet I found a brother who had listed many of the shaykh’s books; he did well and was beneficial, though he missed quite a few. I profited from his effort.
(4) I also benefited greatly from al-Shaybānī’s The Life of al-Albānī.
(5) Dr. ʿĀṣim b. ʿAbd Allah al-Qaryūtī listed a large number of his works in A Galaxy of Imams of Guidance, from which I likewise benefited.
(6) After the first printing of this book I learned that ʿAlī b. Ḥasan had catalogued the shaykh’s writings in the journal al-Aṣālah, issues 21–22 (1). I had not seen that list before, so I compared my compilation with those two issues and made use of the additional material.
Note:
By listing these sources here, I have no need to refer to them again when cataloguing the shaykh’s works, for it is from them that I quote. On occasion I shall name one of them specifically to draw attention to a point I wish to make about a particular book.
Allah is the One who grants success.
