Al-Asalah once recorded: “I have seen, in his own handwriting, that he called it al-Taʿlīqāt al-Khiyār.”
“Rafʿ al-Āṣār fī Tartīb Aḥādīth Mushkil al-Āthār” (Lifting the Shackles: an arrangement of the ḥadiths found in Mushkil al-Āthār) = “Waḍʿ al-Āṣār.”
“Al-Rawḍ al-Naḍīr fī Tartīb wa-Takhrīj Muʿjam al-Ṭabarānī al-Ṣaghīr,” [authored].
It is among his earliest books, and on its cover the Shaykh wrote: “The author does not wish this book to be printed, for it belongs to the first stage of his scholarly work.” (1)
“Al-Rawḍah al-Nadiyyah,” by Ṣiddīq Ḥasan Khān, [ḥadith verification].
The Shaykh mentioned it in the introduction to Ṣaḥīḥ al-Jāmiʿ (1/59). I do not know whether it is the previously cited “al-Taʿlīqāt al-Raḍiyyah ʿalā al-Rawḍah al-Nadiyyah” or something else. I am inclined to think it is the same work; however, “al-Taʿlīqāt al-Raḍiyyah” is not strictly a ḥadith verification of al-Rawḍah al-Nadiyyah. It is a set of general annotations that includes grading the traditions and other matters, and it only covers selected passages of al-Rawḍah; it certainly does not encompass all the proofs of the book, let alone its legal questions. “Zahr al-Riyāḍ fī Radd Mā Shannaʿahu al-Qāḍī ʿIyāḍ ʿalā Man Awjaba al-Ṣalāh ʿalā al-Bashīr al-Nadhīr fī al-Tashahhud al-Ākhīr,” by Muḥammad ibn Muḥammad al-Khudrī al-Dimashqī, [critical edition]. The Shaykh did not finish it, and the draft is now lost.
“Al-Zawāʾid ʿalā al-Mawārid,” [authored].
What is meant is Mawārid al-Ẓamʾān ilā Zawāʾid Ibn Ḥibbān by al-Haythamī. This work recovers the reports that met al-Haythamī’s criteria but which he overlooked.
“A Question and Its Answer on Fiqh al-Wāqiʿ,” [authored] (printed).
“Al-Safar al-Mūjib li-l-Qaṣr,” [authored]. The Shaykh did not complete it. He dealt with the issue at length in Silsilat al-Aḥādīth al-Ṣaḥīḥah, ḥadith no. 163, and I doubt the content of this treatise would differ from what he wrote there. Allah knows best.
