“Refutation of the book Tahrīr al-Marʾah fī ʿAṣr al-Risālah (The Emancipation of Women in the Prophetic Era) by Muḥammad ʿAbd al-Ḥalīm Abū Shuqqah, [authored].
“Refutation of the book Ẓāhirat al-Irjāʾ (The Phenomenon of Irjāʾ) by Shaykh Dr. Ṣafar ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, [authored].
I am not certain whether this reply is limited to the section in which Shaykh Ṣafar—may Allah preserve him—responded to Shaykh Nāṣir, may Allah have mercy on him, on a number of issues, or whether it is a general critique of the whole book; Allah knows best.
Ẓāhirat al-Irjāʾ fī al-Fikr al-Islāmī is, in its field, a precious work. Some felt constrained by it because it laid bare the Shaykh’s view—may Allah have mercy on him—on certain matters, so they raised an uproar about the book, rejected it, and spoke against it and its author, even though it contains much uncontested truth.

“The Decisive Refutation of Those Who Contradict the Scholars, Adopt Excessive Rigour and Bigotry, and Compel Women to Cover Their Faces and Hands, Declaring It Obligatory Rather Than Merely Sunnah and Recommended,” [authored] (printed).
When the Shaykh composed his book Ḥijāb al-Marʾah al-Muslimah (The Muslim Woman’s Veil), a number of scholars criticised him on the question of a woman’s uncovering her face and hands. He answered them in the preface to the new edition, which he entitled Jilbāb al-Marʾah al-Muslimah (The Muslim Woman’s Jilbāb). Because the response was lengthy, he decided to detach it from the preface and publish it as an independent volume so that the original work would not become unduly long.
He mentioned this in the introduction to al-Jilbāb (p. 5).
“Ibn Taymiyyah’s Epistle in Refutation of Those Who Maintain that Paradise and Hell Will Cease to Exist,” attributed to Shaykh al-Islām, [edited and discussed] (printed).
The piece survives only as a manuscript of three folios; the copyist claimed it is an abridgement of Shaykh al-Islām’s words.
Al-Shaybānī reproduced it in full in Ḥayāt al-Albānī (1/245–297).
