I say this only on the assumption that the documentation really is al-Albani’s—a position clouded with doubt, as you have seen.
• “A Refutation of the Treatise: ‘Permissibility of Wearing Circular Gold Jewelry,’” [authored]—(printed).
The treatise in question belongs to the esteemed Shaykh Ismaʿil al-Ansari, may Allah have mercy on him. Al-Shaybani reproduced al-Albani’s refutation in full in Hayat al-Albani (1/117–228), yet it has never been issued as an independent booklet and is incomplete, the middle section having been lost (1).
• “A Refutation of the Treatise: ‘Arshad al-Salafi,’” [authored].
The work’s real title is “Al-Albani: His Deviations and Mistakes,” and its actual author is Habib al-Rahman al-Aʿzami. Al-Asalah reported: “It is printed within the book al-Radd al-ʿIlmi.” End quote.
I say: the intended book is “The Scholarly Refutation of Habib al-Rahman al-Aʿzami—who claims to be ‘Arshad al-Salafi’—regarding his attack on al-Albani and the exposure of his fabrications,” by Salim al-Hilali and his co-author. The first volume appeared under their names, followed by a second, and on page 4 they write:
“In this volume we benefited greatly from what our shaykh al-Albani [may Allah have mercy on him] had written in reply to the one who styles himself Arshad al-Salafi. Our shaykh entrusted his notes to us so we might use them; may Allah reward him well.” End quote (abridged).
The book is basically the work of those two authors, though—without doubt—they drew on what the Shaykh had written. How much better it would have been had they quoted his words verbatim, adding where necessary or commenting in the footnotes, for the Shaykh—may Allah have mercy on him—was far more forceful in argument and more eloquent in style; the two pens cannot be compared.
• “A Refutation of the Treatise: ‘al-Taʿqib al-Hathith,’” by ʿAbd Allah al-Harari al-Habashi, [authored]—(printed).
This refutation first appeared in the journal al-Tamaddun al-Islami in successive installments during the years 1376–1377 AH (2), and was later printed separately under that same title.
• “A Refutation of Shaykh al-Tuwayjri’s Treatise ‘Studies on the Prophet’s Prayer Description,’” [authored].
