The origin of this “treatise” is a marginal note Shaykh al-Albani wrote on a legal opinion issued by ʿAbd Allah al-Harari al-Habashi, which had appeared in the journal al-Tamaddun al-Islami, volume 20, pp. 501–502 (1).
Al-Harari al-Habashi replied to that note, and al-Albani in turn commented on his second reply.
What is printed in the present “treatise” therefore comprises:
• al-Harari’s rejoinder to al-Albani’s first comment, followed by
• al-Albani’s answer to al-Harari’s rejoinder.
As for al-Albani’s initial comment on the fatwa, it was not published together with this “treatise,” and I do not think printing it would be of any benefit, for the second reply already includes it—together with additional material. Allah knows best.
