“This is the second of the six treatises that make up our book, Tasdīd al-Iṣābah ilā man Zaʿama Naṣrat al-Khulafāʾ al-Rāshidīn wa-l-Ṣaḥābah. The first treatise set out to expose the fabrications and errors of those authors who tried to answer us in their work, Al-Iṣābah fī Naṣrat al-Khulafāʾ al-Rāshidīn wa-l-Ṣaḥābah; yet they neither hit the mark nor achieved success, as I demonstrated in that treatise. No sooner was it printed and circulated than people of virtue—despite the diversity of their backgrounds—received it with satisfaction and approval, for within its brief compass they found useful discussions backed by convincing proofs, fairness in rebuttal, moderation in critique, and a refusal to repay aggression in kind. I ask Allah, Exalted is He, to accept it from us …
Today we present the second treatise, which is the first of the five treatises we promised in the aforementioned work.” ʾĀh.
