This is a register (1) of all that I have found—authored works, critical editions, source-attributions, annotations, refutations, articles, and indexes—by the hadith scholar of his age, the Imām who strove with his pen (2): Abū ʿAbd al-Raḥmān Muḥammad Nāṣir al-Dīn b. al-Ḥājj Nūḥ b. Najātī b. Ādam, al-Ashqūdarī (3), al-Albānī, al-Arnaʾūṭī (4); at first a Ḥanafī (5) and, later, an independent mujtahid. He was born in Ashqodra in 1332 AH and passed away in Amman in 1420 AH.
I issued this list for the first time at the beginning of 1421 AH, and it was met with a warm reception—praise and grace belong to Allah. I included my address in that initial release so that anyone with corrections could contact me; by Allah’s favor, several did. I have now resolved to publish it a second time, adding many items that were absent from the first edition and revising its overall format, so that it now appears in this shape.
[Research Plan]
I have divided the study into an introduction, five chapters, and appendices, as follows:
Introduction, in which I present:
— the research plan;
— the sources of the register: the references I used when listing the shaykh’s works (may Allah have mercy on him).
Chapter One: the sources for the shaykh’s biography (may Allah have mercy on him).
Chapter Two: the shaykh’s register—my principal aim in this work. It comprises a preface and four sections:
• Preface: an explanation of the methodology I followed in compiling the register;
• Section One: a catalogue of the shaykh’s authored works.
