The occasion for that lecture was that a few of Shaykh al-Albani’s close associates had misled him and leveled false accusations against Shaykh ʿAbd Allah al-Saʿd—may Allah preserve him. As a result, Shaykh al-Albani spoke against al-Saʿd, who then replied—not to defend his own ego, but, as we see it, to make the truth plain.

In recent years the matter between them was clarified, the harm was removed, and all praise belongs to Allah, by whose favor righteous deeds are brought to completion.

This is all I meant to convey.
