In those “Notes,” the author reviews a number of points raised in al-Albani’s work Al-Ṣalāh, and he does so with exemplary courtesy.
(51) Nuṣrat al-Taʿaqqub al-Ḥathīth ʿalā Man Ṭaʿana fīmā Ṣaḥḥa min al-Ḥadīth (Championing “Al-Taʿaqqub al-Ḥathīth” against Those Who Attack Authentic Ḥadīths), by ʿAbd Allāh al-Ḥabashī al-Hararī.
(52) Naẓarāt fī “Al-Silsilah al-Ṣaḥīḥah” li-l-Shaykh Muḥammad Nāṣir al-Dīn al-Albānī (Reflections on “Al-Silsilah al-Ṣaḥīḥah” of Shaykh Muḥammad Nāṣir al-Dīn al-Albānī), by Shaykh Abū ʿAbd Allāh Muṣṭafā al-ʿAdawī and Khālid b. Aḥmad al-Muʾadhdhin. It analyses the first one hundred ḥadīths of the Shaykh’s Series of Authentic Ḥadīths.
A rejoinder to it appeared under the title Waqfāt maʿa al-Naẓarāt (Pauses with “Reflections”), by Samīr b. Amīn al-Zuhayrī. I only wish he had spared his “part” of the work from certain expressions unbefitting a writer—let alone a student of knowledge—for he filled it with phrases at odds with the etiquette a Muslim owes his brother.
This, alas, is a habit I have noticed in some of those who defend the Shaykh against his critics: they show poor manners toward the opponent and adopt an unduly harsh tone, even when the latter is a fellow Salafi.
(53) Naqd Taʿlīqāt al-Albānī ʿalā Sharḥ al-Ṭaḥāwiyyah (A Critique of al-Albānī’s Annotations to Sharḥ al-Ṭaḥāwiyyah), by the esteemed Shaykh Ismāʿīl b. Muḥammad al-Anṣārī—may Allah have mercy on him. A reply to it came out under the title Fatḥ al-Bārī fī al-Dhabbi ʿan al-Albānī wa-l-Radd ʿalā Ismāʿīl al-Anṣārī (The Victory of al-Bārī: Defending al-Albānī and Refuting Ismāʿīl al-Anṣārī), by Samīr b. Amīn al-Zuhayrī.
(54) Wuṣūl al-Tahānī fī Ithbāt Sunnīyat al-Subḥah wa-l-Radd ʿalā al-Albānī (Extending Congratulations: Establishing the Sunnah Status of the Prayer Beads and Refuting al-Albānī), by Maḥmūd Saʿīd Mamdūḥ. It drew a rebuttal entitled Iḥkām al-Mabānī fī Naqḍ Wuṣūl al-Tahānī wa Kashf Mā Fīhi min Mughālaṭāt al-Maʿānī (A Solid Construction: Demolishing “Wuṣūl al-Tahānī” and Exposing Its Semantic Fallacies), by ʿAlī b. Ḥasan.
(55) Wahm Sayyiʾ al-Bakht alladhī Ḥarrama Ṣiyām al-Sabt (The Delusion of the Ill-Fated One Who Prohibited Fasting on Saturday), by al-Ḥasan b. ʿAlī al-Saqqāf.
(56) Waylaka Āmin—Tafnīd Baʿḍ Abāṭīl Nāṣir [al-Dīn] (1) al-Albānī (Woe to You—Believe! A Refutation of Some of the Falsehoods of Nāṣir [al-Dīn] al-Albānī), by Aḥmad ʿAbd al-Ghafūr ʿAṭṭār.
*There are also a number of audio cassettes, among them:
(57) Munāqashat al-Shaykh Nāṣir al-Dīn al-Albānī (A Dialogue with Shaykh Nāṣir al-Dīn al-Albānī), by the hadith scholar Shaykh ʿAbd Allāh b. ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-Saʿd—may Allah preserve him.
