[Introduction]
bismi Allāh al-Raḥmān al-Raḥīm (In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful)
All praise is due to Allah. We praise Him, seek His help, and ask His forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah from the evils within ourselves and from our misdeeds. Whomever Allah guides, none can mislead; and whomever He allows to stray, none can guide. I testify that there is no deity worthy of worship but Allah alone, without partner, and I testify that Muḥammad is His servant and messenger.
“O you who believe, be mindful of Allah as He deserves to be feared, and do not die except in a state of Islam.” (102) [Āl ʿImrān]
“O mankind, be mindful of your Lord who created you from a single soul, created from it its mate, and spread from the two of them many men and women. Be mindful of Allah, in whose name you appeal to one another, and of the womb-ties. Truly, Allah is ever watchful over you.” (1) [al-Nisāʾ]
“O you who believe, be mindful of Allah and speak words that are sound; (70) He will set right your deeds for you and forgive you your sins. Whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger has indeed achieved a mighty triumph.” (71) [al-Aḥzāb]
