The purpose of iḥdād is that men not become attracted to her during the waiting period, nor she to them; it is a preventive measure aimed at safeguarding lineage. Allah knows best.
The Book of Divorce is now complete—praise be to Allah for His bounties and thanks for His blessings. It will be followed, God willing, by the Book of Sales.
الْمَقْصُودَ بِهِ أَنْ لَا تَتَشَوَّفَ إِلَيْهَا الرِّجَالُ فِي الْعِدَّةِ وَلَا تَتَشَوَّفُ هِيَ إِلَيْهِمْ، وَذَلِكَ سَدًّا لِلذَّرِيعَةِ لِمَكَانِ حِفْظِ الْأَنْسَابِ، وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ.
كَمُلَ كِتَابُ الطَّلَاقِ، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ عَلَى آلَائِهِ، وَالشُّكْرُ عَلَى نِعَمِهِ ; وَيَتْلُوهُ كِتَابُ الْبُيُوعِ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى.
