Book on Leasing Land
Allah, mighty and majestic is He, says:
“Have you considered what you sow?” [al-Wāqi‘ah: 63] “Is it you who make it grow, or are We the grower?” [al-Wāqi‘ah: 64] “If We willed, We could turn it into dry debris, leaving you to lament,” [al-Wāqi‘ah: 65] “Indeed, we are ruined!” [al-Wāqi‘ah: 66] “Rather, we have been deprived!” [al-Wāqi‘ah: 67]
He, exalted is He, also says:
“Have they not seen that We drive water to barren land, bringing forth crops with it from which their livestock and they themselves eat? Will they not then see?” [al-Sajdah: 27]
He, exalted is He, says:
“You see the earth lifeless, but when We send down water upon it, it stirs and swells and brings forth every beautiful kind of plant.” [al-Hajj: 5]
He, exalted is He, says:
“Like rain We send down from the sky, which the plants of the earth absorb—those from which people and livestock eat.” [Yūnus: 24]
He, exalted is He, says:
“Among His signs is that you see the earth lying still, but when We send down water upon it, it stirs and swells. Indeed, He who gives it life will surely give life to the dead. He has power over all things.” [Fussilat: 39]
