the attributes of His Essence and His actions, in numerous verses of His Book. He has set forth parables for them and recounted narratives and accounts, so that they may reflect upon them and be guided by them. He, Exalted is He, says:

“Have they not considered the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and everything Allah has created, and that their appointed time may have drawn near? In what message after this will they then believe?” [al-Aʿrāf: 185]

And He says:

“Have they not looked at the sky above them—how We built it and adorned it, leaving no gaps in it?” [Qāf: 6] “And the earth—We spread it out, placed firm mountains upon it, and caused every delightful kind of plant to grow in it,” [Qāf: 7] “as an insight and a reminder for every servant who turns to Allah.” [Qāf: 8]

And He says:

“Do they not look at the camels—how they were created?” [al-Ghāshiyah: 17] “And at the sky—how it was raised?” [al-Ghāshiyah: 18] “And at the mountains—how they were firmly set?” [al-Ghāshiyah: 19] “And at the earth—how it was spread out?” [al-Ghāshiyah: 20]

And He says:

“Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of night and day are signs for people of understanding.” [Āl ʿImrān: 190]

And He says:

“Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth; the alternation of night and day; the ships that sail the sea carrying what benefits people; the water Allah sends down from the sky, reviving the earth after its death and spreading throughout it creatures of every kind; the shifting of the winds; and the clouds held in service between heaven and earth—are signs for people who reason.” [al-Baqarah: 164]

And He says:

“Have you considered the semen you emit? Is it you…” [al-Wāqiʿah: 58–59], to the end of the verse.

And He says:

“On earth are signs for those of sure faith,” [al-Dhāriyāt: 20] “and within yourselves. Will you not then see?” [al-Dhāriyāt: 21]

And He says:

“On earth are adjoining tracts, gardens of grapevines, crops, and date palms growing from a common root or separately, all watered with the same water; yet We make some better than others in taste. Indeed, in that are signs for people who reason.” [al-Raʿd: 4]

And He, Exalted is He, says:
