When Something Pleases a Person and He Fears the Evil Eye for It

Allah the Exalted says: “If only, when you entered your garden, you had said, ‘Whatever Allah wills—there is no power except through Allah.’” (al-Kahf 18:39)

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “The evil eye is real, and if anything were able to outstrip destiny, it would be the evil eye.” Authentic hadith.

It is also related that the Prophet ﷺ said, “When any of you sees something in himself or in his property that pleases him, let him invoke blessing upon it, for the evil eye is real.”

Another report states that the Prophet ﷺ said, “Whoever of you sees something that impresses him should say: ‘Whatever Allah wills; there is no power except through Allah.’”

It is further narrated that whenever the Prophet ﷺ feared that something might be affected by his own eye, he would say, “O Allah, bless it and do not harm it.”
