for indeed, when one of you yawns, Satan laughs at him.
He also narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said, “When any of you sneezes, let him say, ‘al-ḥamdu lillāh’ (praise be to Allah), and let his brother or companion respond, ‘yarḥamuka Allah’ (may Allah have mercy on you). When he is told, ‘yarḥamuka Allah,’ let him reply, ‘yahdīkum Allah wa yuṣliḥu bālakum’ (may Allah guide you and set your affairs right).” Both of these reports were recorded by al-Bukhari.
In the wording preserved by Abu Dawud the sneezer says, “al-ḥamdu lillāh ʿalā kulli ḥāl” (praise be to Allah in every circumstance).
Abu Musa al-Ashʿarī (may Allah be pleased with him) said, “I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, ‘If one of you sneezes and praises Allah, then invoke mercy upon him; but if he does not praise Allah, do not invoke mercy upon him.’” This was narrated by Muslim.
On Marriage
ʿAbd Allah ibn Masʿūd (may Allah be pleased with him) said, “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ taught us the sermon of need: ‘All praise is due to Allah; we praise Him, seek His help, and ask His forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah from the evil within ourselves and from the misdeeds of our actions. Whomever Allah guides, no one can lead astray, and whomever He leads astray, no one can…’”
