Recorded by Muslim.
Abdullah ibn Masʿūd (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet ﷺ said, “On the night I was taken upon the Night Journey I met Abraham, who said, ‘O Muhammad, convey my greetings to your community and tell them that Paradise has fertile soil and sweet water; it is broad, level ground, and its saplings are: subḥān Allāh (Glory be to Allah), al-ḥamdu lillāh (all praise is due to Allah), lā ilāha illā Allāh (there is no god but Allah), and Allāhu akbar (Allah is greatest).’” Al-Tirmidhī declared the ḥadīth ḥasan (sound).
Abū Mūsā al-Ashʿarī (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet ﷺ asked me, “Shall I not guide you to a treasure from the treasures of Paradise?” I replied, “Yes, O Messenger of Allah.” He said, “Say: lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāh (there is no power nor might except through Allah).” Agreed upon.
Remembering Allah at the two ends of the day
Allah the Exalted says, “O you who believe, remember Allah with abundant remembrance, and glorify Him morning and evening.” (Al-Aḥzāb 33:41-42)
He also says, “And remember your Lord within yourself, in humility and awe, and without raising your voice, morning and evening; and do not be among the heedless.” (Al-Aʿrāf 7:205)
And He says, “So glorify the praise of your Lord in the evening and in the morning.” (Ghāfir 40:55)
