“Whoever glorifies Allah thirty-three times after every prayer, then praises Allah thirty-three times, and magnifies Allah thirty-three times, and completes the hundred by saying, ‘There is no god but Allah alone, without partner; His is the dominion and His is all praise, and He has power over all things,’ will have his sins forgiven, even if they are as plentiful as the foam of the sea.” Reported by Muslim.
ʿAbd Allah ibn ʿAmr (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said, “There are two qualities—rather, two habits—no Muslim servant regularly maintains them without entering Paradise. They are easy, yet few practice them: he glorifies Allah ten times, praises Him ten times, and magnifies Him ten times after every prescribed prayer; that is one hundred and fifty on the tongue and one thousand five hundred on the scale. And when he lies down on his bed he magnifies Allah thirty-four times, praises Him thirty-three times, and glorifies Him thirty-three times; that is one hundred on the tongue and one thousand on the scale.” He added, “I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ counting them on his fingers.” They asked, “O Messenger of Allah, if they are so easy, why do so few people act upon them?” He replied, “Satan comes to one of you as he lies in bed and lulls him to sleep before he can say them, and he comes to him during his prayer and reminds him of some need before he can say them.” Reported by Abu Dawud, al-Tirmidhi, and al-Nasaʾi.
They also reported from ʿUqbah ibn ʿAmir who said, “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded me to recite the muʿawwidhat (the protective chapters) after every prayer.”
Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: “It was said to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ …”
