As for us, we wash our hands of them; in our view they are astray and base, and protection and success rest with Allah alone:
Thus we disavow them, oppose them for Allah’s sake, and detest them, for they are people of error and falsehood. It is therefore obligatory to keep away from them, to loathe them, and to rebut them and the falsehood they propagate.
We likewise repudiate anyone who says, “All the sects fall under the name of Islam, and we must overlook these issues in the interest of freedom of speech and opinion; all the factions are included within Islam.” This is a false and perilous doctrine for the ummah, for freedom of speech and opinion is bound by the Book, the Sunnah, and the path of the early generations of the community. Every deviating faction is in the Fire—except the one that follows what the Messenger ﷺ and his Companions were upon.
Man is prone to error; infallibility, success, power, and strength are in the hand of Allah. A person cannot guarantee his own salvation; he merely hopes in Allah and fears Him.
With this, the present blessed synopsis—containing weighty points of the creed of Ahl al-Sunnah wa-l-Jamāʿah—comes to its close. We ask Allah to make it beneficial to us and to grant its author an abundant reward for what he has clarified, explained, written, and for the sincere counsel he has given to the ummah. May Allah reward him well, together with the rest of the imams of the Muslims.
Allah knows best, and may blessings, peace, and abundant favor be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and all his Companions.
