Darʾ Taʿâroud al-ʿAql wa-n-NaqlIbn Taimiya

In the two Sahīh collections, Abū Hurayrah reported that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

“Angels take turns among you by night and by day, meeting at the dawn and afternoon prayers. Then those who spent the night among you ascend to Him, and He asks them—though He knows best about them—‘How did you leave My servants?’ They reply, ‘We left them praying, and we came to them while they were praying.’”

Also in the two Sahīh collections, Abū Hurayrah reported that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

“Allah has angels who travel about, in addition to those who record people’s deeds, roaming the earth. When they find people remembering Allah, they call to one another, ‘Come to what you seek.’ He said: They then come and surround them, reaching up to the lowest heaven. He said: Then Allah, Mighty and Majestic, says, ‘What did you leave My servants
