The terms ‘body’ and ‘substance’, and others like them, fall into this category.
If a questioner asks, ‘Is Allah a body or not?’ we do not say, ‘The answer to this question is not in the Quran and Sunnah,’ while it is claimed that this question arises naturally in people’s innate dispositions.
Allah Most High says:
“Today I have perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and approved Islam as your religion.” [al-Mā’idah: 3]
He also says:
“Allah would not let a people go astray after guiding them until He has made clear to them what they must avoid.” [al-Tawbah: 115]
He also says:
“We have sent down to you the Book as an explanation of all things, a guidance, a mercy, and good news for the Muslims.” [al-Nahl: 89]
He also says:
“This is not a fabricated account, but a confirmation of what came before it, a detailed explanation of all things, and guidance and mercy for people who believe.” [Yūsuf: 111]
He also says:
“When guidance comes to you from Me, whoever follows My guidance will neither go astray nor suffer misery. * But whoever turns away from My remembrance will have a life of hardship, and We will raise him up blind on the Day of Resurrection. * He will say, ‘My Lord, why have You raised me up blind when I used to see?’ * He will say, ‘So it is: Our signs came to you, but you forgot them, and so today you will be forgotten.’” [Tā Hā: 123–126]
He also says:
“Follow what has been sent down to you from your Lord, and do not follow any protectors besides Him.” [al-Aʿrāf: 3]
