[Al-Baqarah: 21]
Up to His saying, Most High:
“So do not set up equals to Allah while you know.”
[Al-Baqarah: 22]
His words:
“Who created you and those before you”
[Al-Baqarah: 21]
point to the argument from origination, while His words:
“Who made the earth a resting place for you and the sky a canopy”
[Al-Baqarah: 22]
point to the argument from providential care.
Likewise, His saying:
“And a sign for them is the dead earth. We give it life and bring forth grain from it, from which they eat.”
[Yā-Sīn: 33]
And His saying:
“And they reflect on the creation of the heavens and the earth: ‘Our Lord, You did not create this in vain. Glory be to You! Protect us from the punishment of the Fire.’”
[Āl ʿImrān: 191]
