Another group says: Rather, they will enter Paradise alongside those who believed and did righteous deeds. They base this on mercy without wisdom, treating the children of believers and the children of disbelievers alike, and likewise those who believed and did righteous deeds and those who did not, without regard for treating like cases alike and distinguishing between unlike cases. This gives rise to disagreement, confusion, and division.
Allah and His Messenger have clarified these and other questions, for Allah has perfected the religion and completed His favor.
The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
“I have left you upon a clear path, whose night is like its day. No one deviates from it after me except one who is doomed.”
An authentic report relates that Abū Dharr, may Allah be pleased with him, said:
“The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, passed away, and there was not a bird beating its wings in the sky concerning which we did not recall some knowledge from him.”
Allah sent down His Book as a healing for what is in people’s hearts, and as guidance and mercy for the believers.
The Most High said:
“Whoever follows My guidance will neither go astray nor fall into misery.”
Ibn ‘Abbās said: Allah has guaranteed that whoever reads the Quran and acts upon what it contains will neither go astray in this world nor suffer misery in the Hereafter.
The Most High also said:
“Mankind was one community. Then Allah sent the prophets as bearers of good tidings and warners, and sent down with them the Scripture in truth to judge between people concerning their differences.”
Thus Allah has judged between people concerning their differences through His Book.
