Likewise, the report that He descends to the place where the pilgrims stand on the afternoon of the Day of 'Arafah, riding a grey camel, shaking hands with those who are mounted and embracing those who are on foot, and similar reports, are lies and fabrications by the consensus of the scholars. No one may therefore include these or similar reports among the proofs of revelation.

“The servant says, ‘My Lord, how could I visit You when You are the Lord of all worlds?’
“He says, ‘Did you not know that My servant so-and-so was ill? Had you visited him, you would have found Me with him. My servant, I was hungry, but you did not feed Me.’
“The servant says, ‘My Lord, how could I feed You when You are the Lord of all worlds?’
“He says, ‘Did you not know that My servant so-and-so was hungry? Had you fed him, you would have found that with Me.’”
