and another example is the saying of the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace):
“Our Lord marvels at His servants’ despair despite the nearness of His bringing about a change.”
That is, the nearness of His changing drought into abundance.
The expression ghāra al-rajulu ‘alā ahlihi, with the present tense yaghāru, means “the man felt protective jealousy for his family”: anger arose in him that changed his state from one condition to another.
The Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said:
“Whoever sees a wrong, let him change it with his hand; if he cannot, then with his tongue; if he cannot, then with his heart. That is the weakest level of faith.”
He also said:
“When people see wrongdoing and do not change it, they are close to being overtaken, all together, by a punishment from Allah.”
