In short, this is the approach followed by many speculative theologians and others. It is on this approach that all speculative theologians who oppose certain scriptural texts have based their doctrines, including the Mu‘tazilah, Kullābiyyah, Sālimiyyah, Karrāmiyyah, Shia, and others.
