Darʾ Taʿâroud al-ʿAql wa-n-NaqlIbn Taimiya

Allah, exalted is He, also said:

“We have certainly set forth for people in this Quran every kind of example, so that they may take heed.”
Al-Zumar: 27.

He, glorified is He, answers objections, as He said:

“They bring you no argument without Our bringing you the truth and the best explanation.”
Al-Furqān 23.

This is discussed at length elsewhere.

The point here is that the scriptural method conveys the truth and explains the ways of reaching it that benefit people. As for addressing every sophistical doubt that might occur to any individual, no discourse can explain all of these in detail.

Innate, self-evident knowledge is present when the natural disposition is sound and intact. Yet something may afflict that disposition, corrupting it and making it diseased, so that it sees truth as falsehood. Likewise, when the body is impaired or diseased, it finds sweetness bitter and sees one thing as two. Such a person is treated with what will remove the illness.

The Quran contains healing for the diseases within the hearts.

The Prophet—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—knew that the intrusive thought of an infinite regress of agents occurs in people’s minds, and that its invalidity is self-evident. He therefore instructed people, when it arises, to seek refuge in Allah from it and to stop pursuing it. Thus, in the two Sahīh collections, with the wording given here being Muslim’s, Abū Hurayra reported that the Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—said:

“People will continue asking one another questions until it is said:
