He also said, “Allah is clean and He loves cleanliness.”

And he said, “Five noxious creatures may be killed whether one is within the Sacred Precincts or outside them: the snake, the mouse, the kite, and the vicious dog.”

In another version: “The snake and the scorpion.”

He—peace and blessings be upon him—also ordered that dogs be put down.

And he said, “Whoever keeps a dog that is neither for tilling the land nor for herding livestock, a qirāt is deducted from his reward each day.”
