has been sent down to us, and in what was sent down to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob and the Tribes; and in what Moses and Jesus were given, and what the prophets received from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we submit.” (Q 2:136)
And the Exalted also says:
“Alif-Lam-Mim. This is the Book in which there is no doubt, a guidance for the God-fearing—those who believe in the unseen, establish prayer, and spend out of that with which We have provided them; and those who believe in what has been sent down to you and what was sent down before you, and are certain of the Hereafter. “Righteousness is not that you turn your faces toward the East or the West; rather, true righteousness is to believe in Allah, the Last Day, the angels, the Book and the prophets; to give wealth—despite loving it—to relatives, orphans, the needy, the traveller, those who ask, and for the freeing of slaves; to establish prayer, to give zakah; to fulfil their covenants when they make them; and to be patient in poverty, hardship, and in the heat of battle. Such are the ones who have been true, and such are the God-fearing.” (Q 2:177)
