to disbelieve in the messengers and in what they brought. This is the type of unbelief that makes its practitioner deserving of punishment in the Hereafter, for Allah, Exalted is He, has stated in His Book that He does not punish anyone until the message has reached him.
Allah the Most High says:
“We never punish until We have sent a messenger.” ⦗17:15⦘
He also says:
“Indeed, We have revealed to you just as We revealed to Noah and the prophets after him: to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob and the Tribes, and to Jesus, Job, Jonah, Aaron and Solomon; and We gave David the Psalms. And (We sent) messengers We have already related to you and messengers We have not related to you. And Allah spoke to Moses directly—messengers bringing glad tidings and warnings so that humanity would have no argument against Allah after (the coming of) the messengers.” ⦗4:163-165⦘
And regarding the inhabitants of the Fire, He says:
“Whenever a company is cast into it, its keepers will ask, ‘Did no warner come to you?’ They will say, ‘Yes, a warner did come to us, but we rejected him and said, “Allah has revealed nothing; you are only in great error.”’” ⦗67:8-9⦘
Thus, He informs us that every group thrown into the Fire will acknowledge that a warner came to them and that they denied him—demonstrating that no one is cast into it except those who rejected the warner.
He, exalted be He, also said in His address to Iblis:
“I will surely fill Hell with you and all who follow you from among them.” ⦗38:85⦘
He has therefore declared that He will fill it with Iblis and those who follow him; once it is filled with them, no one else will enter it. It is therefore evident that none will enter the Fire except whoever followed
