Fourteenth: His Passing

The Shaykh—may Allah have mercy on him—passed away mid-morning on Thursday, the seventeenth of Dhu’l-Hijjah, 1393 AH, at his residence in Mecca. His Eminence Shaykh ʿAbd al-ʿAziz ibn Baz led the funeral prayer over him after the noon prayer that same day, and he was buried in the Maʿlā Cemetery at Riʿ al-Hajun. May Allah envelop him in abundant mercy.
