from 1369 AH until he moved to Riyadh in 1371 AH.

3 – Teaching Qur’anic exegesis and the principles of jurisprudence. Beginning in 1371 AH, when the General Directorate of Institutes and Colleges in Riyadh opened its first scholarly institute—soon followed by several others together with the Colleges of Sharia and Arabic Language—the Shaykh, may Allah have mercy on him, was selected to teach there. He therefore relocated to Riyadh and continued his instruction until he later moved to Medina, as will be detailed.

— Teaching selected works of Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah. In addition to the activities mentioned above, the Shaykh devoted a special class for the institute’s instructors to study certain writings of Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah. This lesson was held in the courtyard of the Dukhna institute between the Maghrib and ʿIshaʾ prayers.

— Teaching uṣūl in the mosque of Shaykh Muḥammad ibn Ibrāhīm—may Allah have mercy on him—where al-Amīn, may Allah honor his resting place, instructed advanced students in the principles of jurisprudence.

— Private instruction in uṣūl for a select group of his pupils at his home after the ʿAṣr prayer; he also dictated to one of them a commentary on Marāqī al-Suʿūd.

4 – Teaching at the Islamic University. When the Islamic University of Medina was inaugurated in 1381 AH, the Shaykh moved there to lecture and to serve as a member of its council. He remained in that capacity, teaching tafsir and uṣūl until his passing, and he also delivered courses on the etiquette of research and debate.
